Sit in/ Companionship Services

Welcome to Edens Care Home Health Care

A sit-in carer provides temporary care, typically for a few hours, to allow the primary caregiver a break or to provide companionship and supervision. Their duties often include:


Personal Care


Assisting with basic personal hygiene if needed (e.g., helping to use the bathroom).


Ensuring the individual is comfortable and their immediate needs are met.



Companionship


Engaging in conversation and providing emotional support.


Participating in activities or hobbies the individual enjoys.


Offering company to reduce feelings of loneliness.


Supervision and Safety


Ensuring the individual remains safe while the primary caregiver is away.

Monitoring mobility to prevent falls or injuries.


Assisting with basic mobility around the home.



Light Household Support


Preparing light snacks or drinks.


Tidying up immediate areas, if required.



Medication Support


Assisting with medication reminders or administration, if appropriate.



Reporting


Informing the primary caregiver of any significant events, changes, or concerns that occurred during the sitting period.
